Acquired in early 1997, the 1,100-stall garage site was acquired from Mellon Bank after their foreclosure on the former site of the world's tallest building. White Oak principals were responsible for the acquisition, joint venture financing with ING Realty Partners, construction/perm loan financing with GMAC and ULLICO, the property development, leasing the retail portion of the property to 100%, and the sale of the property to First Union in early 1998.
