Civic Opera House | Chicago, IL

Acquired in 1994, the 850,000 sf Civic Opera Building was acquired from the Travelers Insurance Company after their foreclosure on the property. White Oak principals were responsible for the acquisition, joint venture financing with GE Capital, several areas of the property redevelopment, leasing the property to 95% from 56% at acquisition, the refinancing of the property to purchase GE's interest in 1996, and the eventual sale of the property to Equity Office Properties in 1997.
